The Saudis are not about to evict expatriates.
The Saudi government issued a statement clearing up the matter related to rumors that expatriates were going to be evicted after a period of six years. The point was made that this condition only applies to those private sector firms that do not follow the nationalization job quotas. It was a huge relief to so many who feared expulsion from the confines of the desert kingdom.
The Saudization Plans following the remarks by Labor Minister Adel Faqih raised apprehensive doubts among many expatriates concerning their economic future. But the fears have been allayed and things are back to normal after a “scare” that caused a lot of insecurity among foreigners in Saudi Arabia.
