In western Indonesia a tsunami hit several islands killed at least 113 people and many more are missing.
Late Monday a 7.7-magnitude earthquake triggered the 10-foot (three-meter) wave that washed hundreds of homes into the sea .
On Tuesday rescuers were having a difficulty reaching the Mentawai islands, which are closest to the epicenter, because of strong winds and Violent seas.
But reports of damage and injuries were rising in a steady manner.
The head of the Health Ministry’s crisis center, Mujiharto, said 113 bodies have been found so far.
The number of missing was between 150 and 500.
