On Monday, Egyptian officials said that rain and sandstorms that buffeted the country for several days has killed at least thirty-one people.
The northern Egypt, is the most damaged areas, where the storms brought heavy rains and wind.
A 6 story factory building collapsed in the northern port city of Alexandria which killed at least thirteen people. Building collapses which are blamed on poor construction and failure to follow building rules are quite frequent in Egypt.
Ports on the Red Sea, which had been closed because of the storms, have been reopened on Monday, said the officials.
Officials also blamed the weather for poor visibility that caused road accidents.
