The detonation happened Friday in the Khansheen district. No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Provincial officials have blamed the attack on the Taliban.
Elsewhere, on Saturday, outside police headquarters in Kandahar in southern Afghanistan a powerful explosion injured 4 police officers and 2 civilians.
Officials say that in another attack in Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan, a suicide bomber injured 5 soldiers and several civilians using a police vehicle.
